Double Dry-Hopped Ruination

Style - Double IPA

Editor’s Notes:¬† So we all know that Ruination is a force to be reckoned with; a super-hoppy delivery of citrus flavors and extreme bitterness. And then there is Double Dry-Hopped Ruination, on tap at Public House in the Venetian hotel in Las Vegas. You just can’t predict moments like this, with good friends, great beer, and a very cool bar. I have to admit that “running into” beers like this definitely heightens the experience. Double Dry-Hopped Ruination is similar to Ruination, except better. The aroma features wonderful citrus and pine without any hint of malt. The taste follows suit, with excellent grapefruit and orange flavors accelerated by a fantastic bitter delivery throughout and a devastatingly dry finish. Your tongue feels like it has been stung by a scorpion – the bitterness is truly awe-striking. Yet one of my friends commented on how drinkable it was; an amazing observation from someone that isn’t an IPA devotee. If you see this beer¬†please drink it. It will change your life!
