Hopsickle

Style - Double IPA

Commercial Description:  This is a “Hop” tribute, worthy of a King’s Imperial Court! Enjoy the blast of fresh Tomahawk, Cascade and Centennial Hops as they stimulate the taste buds in a truly imperial fashion. Pucker Up!

Editor’s Notes:  When I bought Hopsickle one time the guy working the cash register said “You’d better strap yourself in for this one!”  It wasn’t my first experience with Hopsickle, so I knew he wasn’t kidding. Hopsickle has to be the hoppiest beer known to man.  It pours a nice orange brown  -  a little darker than I remembered. The aroma is of strong grapefruit and pine with a hint of alcohol in the back.  The taste knocks you back immediately with strong, delicious bitterness. There is a strong grapefruit presence with a long lasting, hoppy finish; there is some caramel malt in the background but not enough to anger the hops. The mouth pucker is tremendous – as good as I have ever experienced. This is a wonderfully unbalanced beer that is not for the faint of heart. If you can’t tell – I absolutely love it!

One of my favorites……except for the price….a little spendy but excellent none the less. 2 bottles in the fridge.
