Duet

Style - IPA

Commercial Description:  Our original single IPA made with Simcoe and Amarillo hops “in harmony.”

Editor’s Notes:  I was looking forward to trying Alpine’s Duet IPA for years and it never disappoints! The Alpine IPAs are universally acclaimed and for good reason. Duet smells outrageously tasty, with citrus and tropical fruit notes chanting “Drink me! Drink me!”. The taste is also wonderful, with pineapple, orange, and grapefruit hop flavors bursting on your tongue. I really didn’t get any malt flavors, but I did not miss them one bit. Despite the impressive delivery of hops Duet is extremely smooth and drinkable – you’ll have no trouble getting to the end of the bottle. The bitterness is good, especially at the beginning of the sip, but the takeaways from Duet definitely are its delicious hop flavors and drinkability. It’s not easy to find Duet, but if you ever see it please make your day and partake – this is bottled gold!

I liked this beer, it was smooth and not too hoppy. I would have liked it to have a little more citrus taste. Overall a good beer though.
